All About Love Shawl + Baby Sophisticate Cardigan

We are going to play catch up with all the yarn works I’ve done since I started subscribing to Yarnbox in February of 2014. My very first project is this Shoulder Shrug that I posted a long time ago. Now here are some specification about the yarn:

Material

  •  Siidegarte a luxury Swiss company
  • 2 skeins of Siide-Flauschig in Bachbumele (teal blue color)
  • 273yard of 50% Silk 50% Merino worsted weight per skein – total of 546 yards!

With all these yardage, I made 2 projects (as titled). The first one was a Shawl pattern I found on Ravelry called All About Love by Sylvia Bo Bilvia. She’s go so many fun lacey shawls and hats that I want to try them all! Mine turned out to be a little smaller than I thought it’d be, but I love the color and the texture nonetheless. Brought it along when we were on our honeymoon, but wore it specially when we were in Florence.

The second project was very dear and close to my heart because this is made with my best friend’s unborn (at the time) baby girl in mind. It’s one of the very first baby items I’ve ever made, and it definitely was the first cardigan I tried my hand at. That’s the thing about baby stuff, they work up so fast and are SO STINKING CUTE! The pattern was this Baby Sophisticate from Ravelry by Linden Down. It’s a good quick project to get your foot in knitting clothing because you still go through all the different sections but at a much faster pace since it is for a teeny tiny human being.
