My fingers have been itching to make something lately, so I found this rug pattern on Pinterest (link down below) and made a prototype A on my own and a prototype B according to the instruction. The yarn called to make this rug is called the Zpagetti (t-shirt yarn) and they are SO EXPENSIVE! I first looked for them in the local craft stores, (Michaels, JoAnn, etc.) to no avail, then I turned to some online sources such as eBay, Amazon, and Etsy and they are extremely pricey! I wonder if there’s any other places I should be looking?
This is my prototype A, a smaller scale. I must say, it looks a lot like a piece of clothing for a turlte! Hahaha. Now it is serving as a hat for the Totoro Ri bought me from Vancouver on my nightstand. :)
This is prototype B, made according to the instruction from many different types of scrap yarns I had lying around. It turns out much prettier! The Kitty bank is put there to give a little size perspective. Belka had it on for a while since it was so cold today, temperature was hovering around 32F.
Ohh, this is the Pinterest link HERE.
I also made this paper Christmas tree the other day!
Now the hard part is convincing dear Ri to let me buy the Zpagetti yarns! :P
