It is worked as a flat piece and kind of look like a trapezoid. One variation I made from this pattern was the edging. I am not a big fan of picking stitches with the knitting needles, so I decided to crochet the edging instead. I think it gives it a little different look and without the picot it calls for in the original design.

Now, one of the major things I would like to mention in this pattern is that this is the first project I officially block. A few of my previous projects were blocked on a makeshift board that I have, and this is the first one I blocked on my blocking mat and using wires and t-pins and all that. I gotta say, I never thought blocking would make such a difference! The edges stay down and flat and the whole piece just doesn’t curl, which makes me happy. :)

Last thing, to my hubby Riri, I know all these obsession with yarns is just crazy talk to you, but thank you so much for indulging me with all the attention and equipment that I whine about not having. That and occasionally rescue Belka who is almost always tangled in the yarns I left out in the living room. <3 Kiki thanks you for getting her an expensive blocking mats as butt warmers, too. :p Ohh and of course also taking pictures of me in my projects!

<img decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="alignleft size-large wp-image-3415"
